PAINTING

David began painting in 2010, when his wife asked a friend to give him lessons as a Christmas gift. However, after only a few sessions, his mentor moved overseas. Despite this setback, David was determined to continue learning. He began immersing himself in the works of de Kooning, Matisse, and Diebenkorn. He studied their materials and techniques, visited museums to see their works up close, and purchased every book he could find on the artists. Through this dedicated study, David developed his own unique style, though his inspirations are still often evident in his work.
